The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1569 (#Ḥadīth #7)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) أُتِيَ بِخِلَالٍ مِنَ الْأَخِلَّةِ الْمُهَيَّأَةِ وَ هُوَ فِي مَنْزِلِ فَضْلِ بْنِ يُونُسَ فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا شَظِيَّةً وَ رَمَى الْبَاقِيَ .

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan , has said, ‘Do not use sticks of sweet basil or pomegranate as a toothpick because they stir up the vein of leprosy.’”
