The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1586 (#Ḥadīth #3)

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ أَوَّلُ مَا يَسْأَلُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ ذِكْرُهُ الْعَبْدَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ أَ وَ لَمْ أُرْوِكَ مِنْ عَذْبِ الْفُرَاتِ .

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya and more than one person has narrated from al-‘ Abbas ibn Ma‘ruf from Sa‘dan ibn Muslim from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘The first thing that Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will ask the servants will be, ‘Did I not quench your thirst with sweet water of al-Furat?”’
