The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1614 (#Ḥadīth #3)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ لَا يَنْبَغِي الشُّرْبُ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَ لَا الْفِضَّةِ .

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah ibn Mehran who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘It is not proper to drink water with bowl made of gold or silver.’”
