Chapter 6 | The Utensils, Pots, Pans, Bowls and Cups
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَ ذَكَرَ مِصْرَ فَقَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لَا تَأْكُلُوا فِي فَخَّارِهَا وَ لَا تَغْسِلُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ بِطِينِهَا فَإِنَّهُ يَذْهَبُ بِالْغَيْرَةِ وَ يُورِثُ الدِّيَاثَةَ .
9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from and al-Husayn from Muhammad from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad all from Ali ibn Asbat who has said the following: “I once heard abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ , saying, ‘When a city (Egypt) was mentioned, the Holy Prophet, said, ‘You must not eat in its pottery bowls; do not wash your head with its clay because it takes away one’s courage (protective feeling) and causes one to become a pimp.’”
