The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1689 (#Ḥadīth #3)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِنَّ الْخَمْرَ رَأْسُ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ .

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Amir from abu Jamilah from Zayd al-Shahham who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Wine is the head of all sins.’”
