Chapter 23 | Compulsion to Drink Wine as Medicine, in Thirst or in Fear (Taqiyah)

10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Mahbub from ibn Ri’ab from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah , was asked about a medicine which is made into dough with wine. He (the Imam) said, ‘I do not like to look at it or smell it; so why should I use it as medicine?”’
