The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 1780 (#Ḥadīth #8)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ وَ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ جَمِيعاً قَالَا سَأَلْنَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْفُقَّاعِ فَقَالَ حَرَامٌ وَ هُوَ خَمْرٌ مَجْهُولٌ وَ فِيهِ حَدُّ شَارِبِ الْخَمْرِ .

8. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ‘Amr ibn Sa‘id from al-Hassan ibn al-Jahm and ibn Faddal all have said the following: “We asked abu al-Hassan , about al-Fuqa’. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is unlawful, it is an unknown wine and its penalty is the same as that which is for wine.”’
