Chapter 12 | Lifting up Garments
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى وَ ثِيابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ قَالَ فَشَمِّرْ .
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “About the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, . . and cleanse your clothes’, (74:4) abu £ Abd Allah , has said, ‘It means lift up (cut short) your clothes (instead of dragging them on the ground).”’
