Chapter 12 | Lifting up Garments
أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْسِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ نَظَرَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) إِلَى فَتًى مُرْخٍ إِزَارَهُ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْفَعْ إِزَارَكَ فَإِنَّهُ أَبْقَى لِثَوْبِكَ وَ أَنْقَى لِقَلْبِكَ .
6. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Kufiy from ‘Ubays ibn Hisham from ibn from abu Hamzah in a marfu‘ manner has said, the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin , once saw a young man with his loincloths hanging low, and said to him, ‘Son, you must raise your loincloth; it will last longer and help clean your heart (from arrogance).”’
