The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2023 (#Ḥadīth #17)

سَهْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَوَّمُوا خَاتَمَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَأَخَذَهُ أَبِي مِنْهُمْ بِسَبْعَةٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ بِسَبْعَةِ دَرَاهِمَ قَالَ بِسَبْعَةِ دَنَانِيرَ .

17. Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Safwan who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ , has said, ‘They evaluated the ring of abu ‘Abd Allah , and my father bought it for seven.’ I then asked, ‘Was it seven dirham?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It was seven dinars.’”
