Chapter 27 | The Ornaments
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ سِرْحَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ لَيْسَ بِتَحْلِيَةِ الْمَصَاحِفِ وَ السُّيُوفِ بِالذَّهَبِ وَ الْفِضَّةِ بَأْسٌ .
7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Dawud ibn Sarhan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘It is not unlawful to decorate al-Musahaf (Quran and books) and swords with gold and silver.’”
