Chapter 30 | The Dyes
أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ خِضَابِ الشَّعْرِ فَقَالَ خَضَبَ الْحُسَيْنُ وَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( صلوات الله عليهما ) بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَ الْكَتَمِ .
9. Abu al-‘Abbas has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ja‘far from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Hamid from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from abu Shaybah al-Asadiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah , about al-Khidab (hair dye). He (the Imam) said, ’Al- Husayn and abu Ja’far, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, applied hair dye with henna and al-Katam.’”
