The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2096 (#Ḥadīth #5)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قُتِلَ الْحُسَيْنُ ( صلوات الله عليه ) وَ هُوَ مُخْتَضِبٌ بِالْوَسْمَةِ .

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from a number of his people from Ali ibn Asbat from his uncle Ya‘qub ibn Salim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘At the time al-Husayn , was murdered he had applied hair dye with woad. 5 ”
