The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2097 (#Ḥadīth #6)

عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْخِضَابِ بِالْوَسْمَةِ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ قَدْ قُتِلَ الْحُسَيْنُ ( عليه السلام ) وَ هُوَ مُخْتَضِبٌ بِالْوَسْمَةِ .

6. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from his father from Yunus from abu Bakr al-Hadramiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about applying hair dye with woad. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful. At the time al-Husayn , was murdered he had applied hair dye with woad. 5 ”
