The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2098 (#Ḥadīth #7)

عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ الْخِضَابُ بِالسَّوَادِ أُنْسٌ لِلنِّسَاءِ وَ مَهَابَةٌ لِلْعَدُوِّ .

7. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from his father from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Jawhariy from al-Husayn ibn ‘Umar ibn Yazid from his father who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah , saying, ‘Applying black hair dye is entertaining for women and show one’s firmness to the enemy. 5 ”
