The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2108 (#Ḥadīth #4)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ حَلْقَ الرَّأْسِ مُثْلَةٌ فَقَالَ عُمْرَةٌ لَنَا وَ مُثْلَةٌ لِأَعْدَائِنَا .

4. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from in a marfu‘ manner the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah , ‘People say shaving of the head is like causing deformity.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is like performing al-‘Umrah for us and deformity for our enemies.’”
