The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2169 (#Ḥadīth #4)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْهَاشِمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ عَمِّهِ قَالَا قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) الِاكْتِحَالُ بِالْإِثْمِدِ يُطَيِّبُ النَّكْهَةَ وَ يَشُدُّ أَشْفَارَ الْعَيْنِ .

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Fadl al-Flashimiy from his father and uncle who have said the following: “Abu Ja’far , has said, ‘Applying eye powder with Athmad (antimony) sweetens the fragrance and strengthens the edge of the eyelid.’”
