Chapter 41 | Al-Kohl (The Eye Powder): Antimony
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ الْكُحْلُ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ وَ يُجَفِّفُ الدَّمْعَةَ وَ وَ يُعْذِبُ الرِّيقَ وَ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ .
10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘Applying eye powder grows hairs, dries up tears, sweetens saliva and sharpens eyesight.’”
