The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 2199 (#Ḥadīth #12)

علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن عبدالرحمن بن الحجاج قال: سألت أبا عبدالله عليه السلام عن الرجل يطلي بالنورة فيجعل له الدقيق بالزيت يلت به فيمسح به بعد النورة ليقطع ريحها عنه، قال: لا بأس.

12. Afi ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘ Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of a man who applies lime, then mixes flour with oil then rubs it on him after lime to remove its smell. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
