35. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Umar ibn Ali ibn ‘Umar ibn Yazid from his uncle Muhammad ibn ‘Umar from those who narrated to him who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far , would say, ‘One who believes in Allah and in the Day of Judgment must not enter a bathhouse without a loincloth.’ One day he entered a bathhouse and applied lime that covered his body. He (the Imam) then dropped the loincloth and one of his slaves said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul and the souls of my parents in service for your cause, you always instruct us about the necessity of loincloth but you have dropped it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Do you not know that lime has fully covered?”’
