Chapter 56 | Applying Oil
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) الدُّهْنُ يُلَيِّنُ الْبَشَرَةَ وَ يَزِيدُ فِي الدِّمَاغِ الْقُوَّةَ وَ يُسَهِّلُ مَجَارِيَ الْمَاءِ وَ هُوَ يَذْهَبُ بِالْقَشَفِ وَ يُحَسِّنُ اللَّوْنَ .
4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Shu’ayb from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Applying oil softens the skin, increases the abilities of the brain, opens the channels of water, removes the scaling and improves color (of the skin).”’
