Chapter 1 | The Relation between a Stumper and the Rider

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الرَّقِّيِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَنِ اشْتَرَى دَابَّةً كَانَ لَهُ ظَهْرُهَا وَ عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا .

5. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Ja‘far ibn Bashir from Dawud al- Riqqiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘If one buys a stumper, he has the benefit of riding and its sustenance is with Allah.’”
