Chapter 2 | The Rare Ahadith about the Stumpers

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ali ibn Ibrahim al-Ja‘fariy in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “I once asked al-Sadiq , ‘When can I hit my stumper?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You can do so when you are riding and it does not walk as it does when going to its manger, its feeding place.’”
