Chapter 4 | Choosing the Camel
8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from al-Hajj al from Safwan al-Jammal who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , once said, ‘Buy a camel for me, an ugly looking one, because it lives longer.’ I then bought for him (the Imam) a camel for eighty dirham and brought it to him (the Imam).” In another Hadith it is said that he (the Imam) said, ‘Buy the black and ugly looking one because it lives longer.’
