Chapter 41 | The Issue that Completes Mahr (dower)

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya‘qub who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of a man who marries a woman, closes the door, pulls the curtains, touches and kisses her; then divorces; if mahr (dower) becomes obligatory. He (the Imam) said, ‘Mahr (dower) becomes obligatory only after sexual intercourse.’”
