5. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al- Rahman from Misma‘ who has said the following: “About the case of a man who leaves the matters about the divorce of his wife to two men, of whom one divorces and the other refuses, abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘The other man should also agree about divorce to have the agreement of both people.’” It is also narrated that attorney in divorce is not permissible.’”
