Chapter 1 | Hunting Dog and Cheetah

أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَسِّنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَرْسَلَ كَلْبَهُ فَأَدْرَكَهُ وَ قَدْ قَتَلَ قَالَ كُلْ وَ إِنْ أَكَلَ .

7. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhsin ibn Ahmad from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of a man who sends his dog and he arrives at the site when the dog has killed the prey. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can use it for food even if the dog has eaten thereof.’”
