The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 704 (#Ḥadīth #20)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) الْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ الْبَهِيمُ لَا يُؤْكَلُ صَيْدُهُ لِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ .

20. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘What a very black colored dog hunts is not edible because the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, commanded to kill it.’”
