The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 717 (#Ḥadīth #2)

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَيَابَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنِّي أَسْتَعِيرُ كَلْبَ الْمَجُوسِيِّ فَأَصِيدُ بِهِ فَقَالَ ( عليه السلام ) لَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْ صَيْدِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ عَلَّمَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فَتَعَلَّمَهُ .

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mansur ibn Yunus from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn Siyabah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about my borrowing the dog of a Zoroastrian person for hunting. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not use it for food unless a Muslim has trained it and it has learned.’”
