The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 739 (#Ḥadīth #4)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَمَّا قَتَلَ الْحَجَرُ وَ الْبُنْدُقُ أَ يُؤْكَلُ مِنْهُ قَالَ لَا .

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah , was asked about the prey killed with a stone or a clay-ball if it is edible. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is not edible.’”
