Chapter 6 | Hunting with Stone and Clay-ball

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَرْمِي بِالْبُنْدُقِ وَ الْحَجَرِ فَيَقْتُلُ أَ فَيَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ قَالَ لَا تَأْكُلْ .

7. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Ahmad ibn ‘Umar from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “About the case of a man who hits a prey with a stone or clay-ball and kills it; if he can use it for food, he (the Imam) said, ‘Do not eat it.’”
