The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 754 (#Ḥadīth #1)

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْحِيتَانِ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يُسَمَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah , about catching fish without a mention of the name of Allah. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”
