The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 797 (#Ḥadīth #1)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْمَدِينِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَعْفَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ فِي كُلِّ جَنَاحِ هُدْهُدٍ مَكْتُوبٌ بِالسُّرْيَانِيَّةِ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘ Abd Allah al-Barqiy from Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Sulayman from abu Ayyub al-Madiniy from Sulayman ibn Ja‘far al-Ja‘fariy who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ , has said, ‘On each wing of the Hoopoe in Assyrian language it is written, ‘Family of Muhammad are the best of creatures.’”
