The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 808 (#Ḥadīth #1)

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) فِي الذَّبِيحَةِ بِغَيْرِ حَدِيدَةٍ قَالَ إِذَا اضْطُرِرْتَ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ حَدِيدَةً فَاذْبَحْهَا بِحَجَرٍ .

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “About the case of slaughtering without iron, abu Ja’far , has said, ‘In an emergency when you cannot find iron you can slaughter with stone.”’
