Chapter 13 | Special Treatments for the Newborn
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (صلى الله عليه وآله) مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ مَوْلُودٌ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْيُمْنَى بِأَذَانِ الصَّلَاةِ وَ لْيُقِمْ فِي الْيُسْرَى فَإِنَّهَا عِصْمَةٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ .
6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy from Abu ‘Abdillah who said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has said, ‘Whoever has a newborn child, let them recite the call to prayer (adhan) in their right ear, and let them recite the iqamah in their left (ear), for it serves as protection from the accursed Satan.’”
