The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 903 (#Ḥadīth #5)

بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنِّي أَكُونُ فِي الْآجَامِ فَيَخْتَلِفُ عَلَيَّ الْبَيْضُ فَمَا آكُلُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ كُلْ مِنْهُ مَا اخْتَلَفَ طَرَفَاهُ .

5. Certain persons of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Jumhur from Muhammad ibn al-Qasim from ibn abu Ya‘fur who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about the eggs that I may find in the wilderness and about which ones are edible. He (the Imam) said, ‘Eat whatever is of different shapes at both ends.’”
