Chapter 5 | Lamb and Young Goats Fed with the Milk of Pigs
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) سُئِلَ عَنْ حَمَلٍ غُذِّيَ بِلَبَنِ خِنْزِيرَةٍ فَقَالَ قَيِّدُوهُ وَ اعْلِفُوهُ الْكُسْبَ وَ النَّوَى وَ الشَّعِيرَ وَ الْخُبْزَ إِنْ كَانَ اسْتَغْنَى عَنِ اللَّبَنِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنِ اسْتَغْنَى عَنِ اللَّبَنِ فَيُلْقَى عَلَى ضَرْعِ شَاةٍ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ يُؤْكَلُ لَحْمُهُ.
5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin was asked about a lamb that was fed with the milk of a pig. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must quarantine it and feed it animal feed, oil residue, nuts, barley and bread, if it is independent of milk; but if it is not independent of milk then feed it with milk of a sheep for seven days, then it can be used for food.’”
