Chapter 6 | Flesh of Animals that Feed on Human Feces, their Eggs and the Sheep that Drinks Wine
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَدَمِيِّ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الْإِبِلُ الْجَلَّالَةُ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ نَحْرَهَا تَحْبِسُ الْبَعِيرَ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً وَ الْبَقَرَةَ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْماً وَ الشَّاةَ عَشَرَةَ أَيَّامٍ .
6. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad al-Adamiy from Ya’qub ibn Yazid in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘A camel that feeds on feces; if you want to Nahr (slaughter) it, then keep it in quarantine for forty days; such a cow for thirty days and keep such a sheep for ten days.’”
