The Sufficient (Vol 6) · Hadith 97 (#Ḥadīth #1)

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ فِي الذَّكَرِ وَ الْأُنْثَى سَوَاءٌ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam) , about ‘Aqiqah and he (the Imam) said, ‘It is the same for both male and female.”’
