Chapter 2 | The Case of Man who is Summoned to Testify
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ الْكِنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلا يَأْبَ الشُّهَداءُ إِذا ما دُعُوا فَقَالَ لا يَنْبَغِي لأحَدٍ إِذَا دُعِيَ إِلَى شَهَادَةٍ يَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهَا أَنْ يَقُولَ لا أَشْهَدُ لَكُمْ. عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ مِثْلَهُ وَقَالَ فَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ الْكِتَابِ.
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from abu al-Sabbah al- Kinaniy who has narrated the following: “About the meaning of the words of Allah, ‘. . . the witnesses must not refuse to testify when they are summoned to testify,’ (2:282) abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘It is not proper for one who is called to testify to what he has witnessed to say, “I do not want to testify for you.’”” Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from al-Halabiy from abu ‘Abd Allah , a similar Hadith and said that it is before the documentation.
