Chapter 140 | The nature of the hearts

عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ جُبِلَتِ الْقُلُوبُ عَلَى حُبِّ مَنْ يَنْفَعُهَا وَ بُغْضِ مَنْ أَضَرَّ بِهَا.

140. From him, from Ahmad, from Ali Bin Hadeed, from some of our companions, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah said: ‘It is inherent in the hearts to love the one who benefits it, and hate the one who harms it’.
