The Sufficient (Vol 8) · Hadith 571 (#Ḥadīth #1)

مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ الرِّضَا (عليه السلام) فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ وَ أَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَمْ تَرَوْهَا قُلْتُ هَكَذَا قَالَ هَكَذَا نَقْرَؤُهَا وَ هَكَذَا تَنْزِيلُهَا.

571. Muhammad, from Ahmad, from Ibn Fazzaal, who has said: Al-Ridha regarding: “[9:40] So Allah sent down His tranquillity upon him and strengthened him with hosts which you did not see”. I said, ‘Like this?’ He said: ‘This is how we recite it, and this is how it was Revealed’.
