2 - حميد بن شعيب، الشعيبي، الهمداني، كوفي. يعرف حديثه تارة، وينكر أخرى، وأكثره تخليط مما يرويه عن جابر. وأمره مظلم.

2 – Ḥumayd b. Shuʿayb, al-Shuʿaybī, al-Hamdānī. Kufan. His ḥadīth is recognized sometimes, and other times rejected. Most of [his hadiths] are takhlit (i.e., confused; dependent upon weak sources) from what was narrated from Jābir. His affair is obscure.
