Virtues of the Shīʿa · Hadith 29 (#Ḥadīth #29)

أبي رحمة الله، قال: حدّثنا سعد بن عبد الله بإسناد يرفعه، عن أبي داود الأعمى، عن أبي عبد الله الجدلي قال: قال عليّ عليه السلام: يا أبا عبد الله ألا اُحدّثك بالحسنة التي من جاء بها أمن من فزع يوم القيامة، والسيّئة التي من جاء بها أكبّه الله على وجهه في النار؟ قال: قلت: بلى. قال: الحسنة حبّنا، والسيّئة بغضنا.

My father (r) said that Sa’d bin Abdullah narrated to them… from Abu Dawoud al-Aama (the blind) that Abu Abdullah al-Jadali said that Ali said to him: "O Abu Abdullah, may I tell you about the good deed whose doer will be saved from the terror of the Day of Resurrection?" I said: "Yes, you may." He said: "This good deed is the love for us. The evil deed is to hate us."
